The Memory Remains
A silent tear,
on the winter floor,
the absent blanket,
her body that shone.
Remind yourself,
once more,
those days are muffled,
evenings in solitude.
Recurring dreams,
deja vu,
wake up,
smell the winter wind.
The shimmering whiskey,
the wicked lights,
its time my friend,
words trapped in my mind.

The Last Ride
An anxious moon,
through the evening clouds,
a tired sun,
bids a silent farewell.
The clanking iron
wheels roll on,
as the music plays
the subtle rhythm.
I think again
of days gone by,
about the girl
who knows not why.
The evening diffuses
into the night,
as my destination
seems closer in sight.

Wobble
The touch of my own hand,
does not feel mine.
The sounds (in the distance),
amplified.
The clumsy gait,
of my walking stick.
its vodka,
that’s doing the trick.

Life Becomes Hers
She sits there,
Unfazed by the roar
of the passing train.
Inches from death,
Yet miles away from
the dark side.
Another morning,
Hope flickers yet again
with a gust of wind
Evening casts a beautiful gloom,
As she sits there waiting
for one more rendition.

Kaleidoscope
Silence builds an intrepid thread,
as I walk around reality.
Riding on the saddle of dread,
buckled to humanity.
Like sailing on high waves in sea,
balance, an uncertainty.
I’m calling out, “just take me,
to a kaleidoscope of sanity.”
The mirages in the desert of time,
Ephemeral, no word beside.
I shall live one more distant life,
where there will be no respite.
